for Members - Concert Appearance

     Master Chorale of Flagstaff   (Arizona)

When the Master Chorale is in concert, the following should be in place:

LADIES

1. HAIR:  If your hair is longer than chin level, it must be styled back or in an "up do."  Heavy bangs should be "lightened."

2. MAKE UP:  This is a must and is crucial for stage appearance.  Our faces appear flushed out by the lighting.  Stage lights produce cold tones.  Makeup produces warm tones.  Use lipstick, blush, eye liner, eye shadow and a foundation shade slightly darker than your skin.

3. JEWELRY:  Do not wear jewelry that can be distracting such as dangling ear rings or necklaces.  We will be wearing a pearl necklace (provided) so please wear pearl earrings.

4. DRESS:  Black choir dress, and black closed-toe shoes with black hose.

MEN

1. HAIR:  Well-groomed and pulled back if necessary.

2. FACIAL:  Clean shaven, groomed beards.

3. DRESS:  Black tuxedo, white wing tip shirt with black studs, black bow tie, black shoes and socks.  Red bow ties will be provided for the Christmas concert.

PERSONAL REMINDERS:
  Please . . . . .

1.  Wear deodorant.
2.  Brush your teeth, especially if you smoke.
3.  Do not wear cologne/perfume or scented hairspray.

KEEP IN MIND THAT APPEARANCE IS A KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE.
